The world’s most influential leftist George Soros is trying to stop the influence of the world’s richest man Elon Musk, the new owner of the social network Twitter.
Several American leftist groups backed by George Soros have signed a letter to the biggest brands, including Coca-Cola (CCEP), Disney (DIS) and Kraft (KHC), asking them to make sure advertising deals made with Twitter are contingent that it will keep in place policies to police “Hateful conduct, transparency and enforce civic integrity” or risk losing advertising dollars, pressuring top Twitter advertisers to boycott this social platform if Elon Musk keeps his promise to support free speech.
The organisations that have written a letter include – Media Matters for America, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Accountable Tech, a technology advocacy group, the feminist group UltraViolet, the Center for Countering Digital Hate, the National Hispanic Media Coalition and the Free Press digital rights group.
The letter read, “Under Musk’s management, Twitter risks becoming a cesspool of misinformation, with your brand attached, polluting our information ecosystem in a time where trust in institutions and news media is already at an all-time low.”
Interestingly, two such advocacy groups – Free Press and Media Matters for America have directly received funding from the Hungarian-American George Soros’s Open Society Foundation.
Accountable Tech is a Washington DC-based group led by Nicole Gill, a political campaigner and founder of the 2017 Tax March, and Jesse Lehrich, a former foreign policy spokesman for Hillary Clinton's campaign and the nephew of David Axelrod, former senior adviser to Barack Obama.
'Social media giants are eroding our consensus reality and pushing democracy to the brink,' they state on their website.

The unemployment rate in Berlin was 10.1 percent. This was an increase compared to the month before at 9.8 percent. However, the application for Giga Berlin is very low. Only about 3,500 workers are employed, making it difficult to ramp up production to 10,000 cars per week.

When Musk personally took part in the new Tesla factory's hiring process, that was probably an attempt to attract talented engineers to his company. However, it may not have helped: Tesla said that only 3,500 of the 12,000 necessary workers for Giga Berlin had been hired so far. The company also needs 8,5000 workers.
The main issue is that Tesla is known for presenting a challenging working environment, including the ones currently dealing with the factory build – which is actually in Grünheide.
Giga Berlin has a series of news related to personnel just going into production. Assmann, the architecture company involved with the project, would have been fired. The Tesla engineer in charge of the plant construction was called Evan Horetsky. After contradicting Musk in a meeting, he had to leave the company. There are reports that ten other engineers decided to go to the company after their probation period expired.
In an online survey made by Civey in November with 8,673 people, only 36.7 percent thought that Tesla was an excellent company to work for.

Tesla Employees Reveal Elon Musk’s True Colors.

How does it feel to work at Tesla? Is Elon Musk, the Twitter meme King really that chill in real life or is it all just a facade?

Tesla's employees have recently started being really vocal about the working conditions at Tesla and SpaceX. From calling Elon Musk a genius that made them better workers to claims of discrimination, homophobia and outright sexism, Tesla has it all.

Let’s take a look at what Elon’s employees had to say about him.

There are so many places and things to explore in the universe! From distant
exoplanets to faraway galaxies that might host intelligent life, to massive black holes, to
bright stars. However, there is a problem with space exploration; distance! Everywhere
you want to go in deep space is far! For example, Elon Musk wants to put humans on
Mars permanently while NASA wants to send astronauts there. However, any traveler
going to Mars has to endure a grueling trip through harsh space that lasts not less than
five months, even with the most powerful rocket in history! If only we could find a faster
way to travel through space! Also, the next star to us is about 4.5 light-years away,
making it impossible to visit with the current space technologies! However, an
accidental discovery promises to fix that problem by enabling faster than the speed of
light travel! What is the discovery, how does it affect space travel, and how does it affect
you personally? Join us as we explore how NASA scientists accidentally discover the
world's first Warp Bubble!
Warp travel is not strange to fans of the Star Trek franchise. The warp drive is a
charming futuristic technology from Star Trek Universe, which since its first episode in
1966, includes ten television series and thirteen feature films. In these series and
movies, characters explore the universe using powerful and fast spaceships, traveling
from planet to planet and communicating with a crew of aliens. The torsion engine is the
center of attraction because, without it, the story would be implausible. The universe is
strange, unimaginable, and insanely large, and even if you want to visit the next star,
the immense cosmic distances create an almost impossible barrier!
Let's take a look at the next star, Proxima Centauri, 4.5 light-years away. This distance
means it takes 4.5 years to reach the star if you could manage to attain the speed of
light! Light flies at full cosmic speed and acts as a sort of universal speed cap, so any
other method takes longer! In fact, if you decide to use the fastest space probe ever
built, the long journey through the interstellar void would take nearly eight thousand
years! So, it makes sense to stay put to Earth and its immediate environment!
Of course, the Star Trek crew didn't stay close to the Earth because they found a
solution! This solution makes long-distance travel possible by shortening the distance!
The torsion engine, using warp drive tech, achieves this by juggling space and time,
making for great entertainment! Warp drive was destined to remain imaginary until a
scientist suddenly realized that such an engine was really possible at the end of the last
century!
The physicist was Miguel Alcubierre, and he came up with a theory that rocked the
scientific community globally. In 1994, Alcubierre watched an episode of Next
Generation while doing his Ph.D. research on Einstein's general theory of relativity,
where heavy masses can curve space and time. And so Alcubierre picked up a scrap of
paper, did the calculations, and laid the foundation for an article that appeared in the
science magazine later that year!
In his paper, Alcubierre describes how you can compress space and time in front of a
spacecraft and stretch it back behind the ship so that you have to travel a much smaller
distance to the desired destination safely trapped in what he calls a torsion bubble! In
visualization, the concept was compared to a surfer riding a wave and a metaphor often
used to describe how a ship could travel the stars. There is, however, a problem with
Alcubierre's warp bubble! You see, the warp engine is tough to build in reality! You can't
just curve space forcefully with normal mass! To do so, you need exotic matter, which
has negative gravity!
Dozens of Warp Engine publications would follow in the following decades. But they
also remained theoretical exercises and thought experiments that manipulated the
formulations of the theory of relativity in search of new insights. The need for the foreign
matter remained!
That was until Eric Lentz, a physicist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the
US, stepped in. He watched Star Trek as a kid. However, he has not been able to forget

As predicted, Elon Musk has now stated that Twitter is in "material breach of contract" with regards to bot and fake account metrics. This allows him to try and exit the deal without paying a "breakup fee", after reaping all of the positive benefits to the initial announcement.

This exit could be simple for him, but devastating to twitter as it threatens to open them up to investor lawsuits, and questions of honesty with regards to their financial disclosures as far back as 2013 and the initial IPO.

Elon Musk might be grabbing the headlines for his exploits in space, which needless to
say, is not undeserved. When you dare to put people permanently on another planet
and build the most powerful rocket that is also reusable, your revolutions are bound to
attract attention! However, there is another revolution of Musk going on on this planet
that you might not have heard about yet but which will change everything as we know it!
For years, Tesla has been working on what is the most powerful computer in the world,
the Powerful Dojo near-quantum Supercomputer! What is this near powerful computere
Dojo and how does it affect you as a person? Join us as we dive into Elon Musk finally

Is Tesla a car maker or an IT company? Tesla makes sweet and fast cars powered by
batteries. It is even a leader in EV batteries so it is not surprising that most of the world
identifies Tesla as a manufacturer of battery powered vehicles. However, the fact is, the
Musk-controlled company is much more than that, and the line between a car-making
company and a computer-based company blurs when Tesla is involved! For example, it
is not without reason that Tesla has a market capitalization in the league of IT
companies! With a market cap of over one trillion, Teslas rolls with the big boys like
Microsoft, Apple, Google, Facebook, and Amazon, far removed from companies from its
own primary industry. Toyota, the second most capitalized automaker, has about one-
quarter of Tesla’s worth, while Volkswagen, the third, comes in even lower at about one-
eight!
Not surprisingly, Tesla has championed over the air updates to make its cars better by
adding features or clearing bugs, just like Microsoft updates your personal computer or
Apple releases an update for your iPhone! Speaking of software, Tesla is the leader in
auto software! Tesla has, in the past, unlocked more battery capacity over the air,
although not everybody liked the idea! Over the years, Tesla has refined its user
interface so much that drivers use it without even thinking about it! Tesla even has
games for you to play on your center console and Netflix for the times you want to chill
inside your car! While that might be controversial sometimes, it shows how seriously
Tesla takes software! That’s not to talk of hidden Easter eggs that make the ownership
experience much more exciting!
This is why Musk said the Model S was not a car but a sophisticated computer on
wheels! Here is how Musk described Tesla, “Tesla is a software company as much as it
is a hardware company. A huge part of what Tesla is, is a Silicon Valley software
company. We view this the same as updating your phone or your laptop.”

That was back in 2015! Since then, Tesla has improved in both hardware and software,
but the company is still as focused on the software! Most recently, Tesla’s AI head,
Andrej Karpathy, describes Tesla's car like this: “We are effectively building a synthetic
animal from the ground up. The car can be thought of as an animal. It moves around
autonomously, senses the environment, and acts autonomously.”
One aspect that has been driving Tesla’s innovation in the computing space is its self-
driving technology! Many Tesla owners swear by the self-driving capabilities of their
cars! While the capabilities are amazing, a Tesla car driving itself or working
autonomously requires large amounts of computing power! However, using existing
computing technologies is providing Tesla with sub-par results. And as usual, when
Musk can’t get what he wants, he builds it! This is why Tesla unveiled the near-quantum
Dojo, a supercomputer it built in-house by Tesla!
The near-quantum computer Dojo is every bit a supercomputer. It is very complex and
powerful. Tesla required a computer platform for taking its self-driving technology to the
next level but, since Musk could not shop for what he needed, he made the near-
quantum computerDojo, powered by the Dojo D1 chip, which provides stunning
bandwidth and compute performance. This is what will train Tesla’s massive neural
networks. But the company has hinted they might provide Dojo its near-quantum
computing to other companiess developing AI in the near future, bringing the benefits of
Dojo to more of humanity!
Tesla is building Dojo its near-quantum supercomputer to handle the massive amount of
video data captured from over their large fleet of existing vehicles, which it uses to train
its neural nets. Tesla was not satisfied with other HPC or High-Performance Computing
options for training its computer vision neural nets and decided they could create a
better platform.

May.04 -- Spencer Bogart, general partner at Blockchain Capital, calls Dogecoin a "meme coin" and says Tesla Inc's CEO Elon Musk likes it because "he likes jokes." In this month's video, we're looking at the work of both Jordan B. Peterson (author of Maps of Meaning, 12 Rules for Life and Beyond Order) and George Orwell (author of 1984, Animal Farm and Homage to Catalonia).

Professor Peterson has a video on his YouTube channel titled "On Free Thought and Speech in London" in which, inspired by seeing a statue of Orwell, he suggests that one of the aspects which separated the capitalist west from the communist east during the Cold War was an ability for journalists to "say what they think".

Taking this as a starting point, I seek to dig into uses (and abuses) of George Orwell's work by Peterson and the political right more broadly. Through contextualising Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm within Orwell's own life, I seek to draw out the deep critiques of Peterson's beloved "Western culture" which are contained within those books.

Towards the end, I also consider whether 1984 might provide an interesting lens for unpacking Peterson's own work and the Cold War view of the world which underlies it.

In this month's video, we're looking at a video by Veritasium. One of the biggest science channels (or, indeed, educational channels) on the YouTube platform, Veritasium makes videos which aim to challenge our preconceptions about physics, science and the world more broadly.

In July 2021, they released a video called "Why You Should Want Driverless Cars On Roads Now". The video was supposedly an attempt to explain the current capabilities of self-driving cars. The channel's host, Derek Muller, argues enthusiastically that autonomous vehicles are far safer than their human alternatives and have the potential to both save lives and greatly improve contemporary urban life.

Nevertheless, the video was sponsored by Waymo (the successor to Google's self-driving car project), filmed in the backseat of one of Waymo's "Waymo One" ride-sharing vehicles and heavily featured Waymo staff throughout. In this, it is part of a growing trend of videos in which companies, billionaires and elite institutions using sponsorship deals with supposedly educational YouTubers to spread what is in practice little more than corporate propaganda.

In this video, I use Veritasium's sponsorship deal with Waymo as a case study in the extent to which a creator signing up to one of these sponsorship deals results in them compromising the editorial content of their videos to the point where education becomes misinformation.

During the 2008 Meltdown when the government bailed out too-big-to-fail giants like Bear Stearns, AIG, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac - who did they hire to analyze and clean up the mess?
Another giant financial firm by the name of BlackRock, lead by a very well connected billionaire by the name of Larry Fink
BlackRock was award these key government contracts to help with the meltdown with no competitive bidding while being enveloped in secrecy
Basically, Larry Fink was hired to be the manager of Washington’s bailout of Wall Street, even though BlackRock is one of the biggest shareholders in the same banks that they were helping to bail out.

In 2020, who did the money printer of the US, the Federal Reserve, hire to manage their scheme to buy corporate bonds? (Basically, they were bailing out corporations that had too much debt or needed to borrow money)
You guessed it, they went right back to BlackRock.
Even though again, the same corporations BlackRock was helping to bailing out, were the same corporations they owned some of the biggest stakes in

And yet, despite all his considerable power, the general public has practically never heard of Larry Fink
With BlackRock barely coming into the public eye during the recent claims that they’re buying up single-family homes
That’s because Larry is smart - he’s intentionally kept it that way
He’s spent the last 33 years building BlackRock into the biggest asset manager in the world, with over $9 trillion dollars under their management
Today, BlackRock’s clients include the retirement accounts of average everyday people in the form of pension funds, they also have sovereign wealth funds as their clients, other central banks, college endowments, “Fortune 500 companies”, and millions of individual investors
They’re the one of the top shareholders of many of the biggest stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, and even other major banks like Wells Fargo and Chase
