Tesla (TSLA) has quickly become the global automotive sector's benchmark. Legacy automakers, such as General Motors (GM), Ford (F), Volkswagen (VWAGY), and Mercedes-Benz (DDAIF), place themselves in relation to Tesla.

Rivian Automotive, Inc. (RIVN) is an example of an upstart Lucid Group (LCID), Inc. Fisker (FSR) wants to be compared to Elon Musk's EV juggernaut.

The electric-vehicle manufacturer has transformed the car into a living room on four wheels using the most recent technological innovations. (Apple can also claim to have a technology ecosystem in the form of phones and computer equipment.)

The T brand has its own niche among consumers. Owners of Tesla vehicles are members of an exclusive club. Fans adore the brand, which currently sells four models: the Model S and Model 3 sedans, as well as the Model X and Model Y SUVs.

However, Tesla's fame extends far beyond the automotive industry. Companies that want to be innovative and disruptive are watching Tesla's actions.

In 2023, the futuristic Cybertruck, Tesla Semi, and new Roadster will go into production.

It's difficult to categorize Tesla, especially since Musk, the architect of this extraordinary success story, prefers to remain private.

Those who consider Tesla to be merely a vehicle manufacturer are frequently reminded that the company's market capitalization, which recently surpassed $1 trillion, tells a different story.

Tesla sells far fewer vehicles per year than Toyota (TM), General Motors, Volkswagen, or Ford. In 2021, the Austin company sold fewer than one million vehicles, compared to millions for legacy automakers.

Those who classify Tesla as a technology company are frequently reminded that Tesla is essentially a way of life in its own right. It is a choice, they are told, to protect the planet and save it from pollution.
From these perspectives, Tesla's true rival is difficult to identify, especially since Musk stares down his competitors but rarely speaks about them.
The billionaire's technological efforts are frequently associated with Apple. He mocks its products, however, and wonders what the iPhone manufacturer invented that was revolutionary.

As Tesla shareholders and analysts wonder whether Musk will devote much of his energy to developing Tesla while acquiring Twitter for $44 billion, Musk just sent them a message that should reassure them.
Aside from the fact that he hopes not to have to use his Tesla shares as collateral to finance the takeover, the serial entrepreneur has just named the company that he likely regards as the final impediment to Tesla's initial mission.

That company is Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company.
According to the billionaire, "Tesla has the potential to be the most valuable company ever."

"You know the future will be good for Earth when Tesla's market cap, making sustainable energy products, exceeds that of Aramco, producing fossil fuels," Musk wrote on Twitter on May 25. He was responding to a message in which he warned investors about the possibility of a recession, which would affect the stock price.

Elon Musk is well-known for his innovative use of technology. Since he was

The future of science belongs to batteries, which have recently emerged as a
bright new light. Battery technology has been around for more than two
centuries in its simplest form.
The basic ingredients used in current Li-Ion batteries, with the notable
exception of LFP chemistry, are either expensive or extremely difficult to get.
As detailed in Elon Musk's famed Master Plan, this challenges the
fundamental purpose of electric vehicles. Using easily available materials,
Tesla is developing battery chemistries that can be produced in massive
quantities.
Scientists have spent a lot of time and effort developing new battery
materials. Graphene is one of these new materials, but it hasn't had a major
breakthrough until recently! A new graphene battery has been developed by
a team of experts, and it shows great promise.

There's perhaps already a distinct "Elon Musk Video Essay" genre here on YouTube. Hopefully, though, this takes a different approach to those which are already out there.

Rather than focussing on I take a look at why Elon Musk has become such a revered figure in recent years and why so many people have embraced Elon Musk's Loop, Tesla, Hyperloop, Spacex, Mars Mission, Neuralink and other projects.

Drawing partly on the work of Mark Fisher and Franco "Bifo" Birardi, I consider how human perceptions of the future (at least in the advanced capitalist nations) have changed over time. In particular, I'm interested in how Elon Musk's rise might be read as a response to what Birardi and Fisher refer to as the "Slow Cancellation of the Future" during the ascendency of neoliberalism (or neoliberal capitalism) in the 1970s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.

I also argue that Elon Musk might have more than a little in common with figures in the political sphere such as Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) and "The Squad", Jeremy Corbyn etc. who have also recently sought to break from the status quo and invited us to imagine bold new futures.

Elon Musk Just LAUNCHED A Virtual Power Plant In Texas!

Tesla Inc. hopes to convert some Texas houses into "virtual power plants" after tests revealed that its home batteries can be swiftly tapped to relieve stress on the state grid. So, how Tesla is quietly expanding its energy storage business?

Tesla Energy, headquartered in Fremont, California, is Tesla, Inc.'s clean energy subsidiary that develops, manufactures, sells, and installs photovoltaic solar energy generation systems, battery energy storage products, and other related products and services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on April 30, 2015, that the business would apply the battery technology developed for electric automobiles to a home energy storage system named the Powerwall. Tesla acquired SolarCity for $2.6 billion in November 2016, expanding Tesla Energy's solar energy generation business. This transaction would prove contentious because SolarCity was experiencing liquidity concerns at the time of the acquisition.

Solar panels (produced by other firms for Tesla), the Tesla Solar Roof (a solar shingle system), and the Tesla Solar Inverter are the company's current power generation products. Aside from the Powerwall, the business also manufactures large-scale energy storage devices known as the Powerpack and Megapack. To support its hardware offerings, Tesla has created a software ecosystem.

In 2021, the firm deployed solar energy systems capable of generating 345 megawatts (MW), a 68 percent increase over 2020, and 3.99 gigatonne-hours (GWh) of battery energy storage devices, a 32 percent increase over 2020.

For the battery power storage, Tesla is offering Tesla Powerwall, Tesla Powerpack, and Megapack.

The Tesla Powerwall is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery energy storage device designed for use in the home. The current Powerwall 2 generation can store 13.5 kilowatt-hours for solar self-consumption, time-of-use load shifting, and backup power.

A Powerwall system can consist of up to ten Powerwalls, which can be a mix of Powerwall+ and regular Powerwalls. To save space, up to three of these devices can be "stacked" front to back in regions where building rules allow.

The Powerwall+ combines the capabilities of a Powerwall 2, a Tesla Solar Inverter, and a Backup Gateway (a system controller and transfer switch).
Tesla no longer offers Powerwalls to consumers directly. They must be purchased in conjunction with Tesla or a certified installer's solar panel or solar roof systems. Furthermore, beginning in late May 2021, Tesla Energy will require all new solar panels and Solar Roof customers to purchase at least one Powerwall along with their system.

The Tesla Powerpack and Tesla Megapack are large-scale rechargeable lithium-ion battery energy storage devices designed for commercial or utility applications.

The Powerpack has a capacity of 232 kilowatt-hours and is intended for use by enterprises or small utility companies for peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, demand response, microgrids, renewable power integration, frequency regulation, and voltage management.

The Megapack is a containerized device designed for utility companies, generally as part of a battery storage power station, and can be used for renewable energy supply smoothing, voltage support, capacity support, microgrids, frequency regulation, and voltage management.

SUMMARY:
- I started on a Sunday evening by planning my week ahead based on what I’d read about Elon Musk’s routine. Much to my dismay, the first thing I found out is that he wakes up at 7am every single day and functions on just 6 hours of sleep!
- I’m a pretty traditional guy – I like to get my recommended 7-9 hours of shuteye each night, so 6 hours was not enough.
- Elon Musk skips breakfast… Well, at least he drinks coffee! To be honest, the first couple of days with no breakfast hit me hard.
- One of Musk’s golden productivity rules is to work in a 5-minute block system, which means that for 5-minutes, I had to stay completely focused on one thing and then switch to another.
- Some of my projects take hours to finish. But by breaking them down into smaller steps that I spent less time on, in the end, it took me fewer hours to get my projects done!
- The first day, what used to take me a solid 8 hours to do ended up taking me just 6. By the week’s end, I’d cut that number down to 4!
- As for phone calls, Elon suggests NOT taking any calls during the day except for emergencies.
- I really saved a lot of time on the email thing. I would’ve never guessed I was wasting so much time going through my inbox!
- So, I hit the gym twice this week, and, I gotta say, I think I understand where Musk gets his energy – working out really does charge your battery, so to speak.
- Getting 6 hours of sleep is not for me, but I like getting up at 7 and having time to plan my day ahead. So, I’ll hit the sack at 12am to get that precious extra hour of shuteye.
- And I’ll spend some of that extra hour on a good breakfast. Even if experts say you can go without, I’d prefer to fill my tank before I head to work!
- Planning the day ahead and tackling tasks in 5-minute blocks will be my new norm.
- I’ll continue ditching my phone during work hours and keeping the emailing at a minimum because this saved me loads of time.
- I’m enjoying the gym, and I feel really good! It’s even become a sort of new hobby of mine.
- As for the weekends, I need my Saturdays, man! I understand Elon has a lot on his plate, but I’m no CEO or entrepreneur, so I can afford to take 2 days off a week instead of just one.
