⁣Trump’s “We will remember” message to UK PM Keir Starmer wasn’t really about Starmer.

It was a warning shot to the City of London, the financial heart of the old British imperial system that has long controlled shipping insurance, finance, and the oil trade.

As the Iran conflict escalated, Lloyd’s of London pulled war-risk insurance for ships in the Persian Gulf.

No insurance → tankers don’t sail → oil prices spike.

That’s how the City has long exerted leverage over global energy flows.

Trump responded immediately by launching a $20B U.S. maritime reinsurance and escort program, replacing London’s insurance grip and keeping tankers moving.

In other words: Washington just stepped directly into a system historically dominated by London.

If this holds, it’s bigger than one war.

It’s about who controls the financial choke points of global energy

We all know that Iran has no territorial ambitions, Israel on the other hand, has never given up their ‘Greater Israel’ dream, which would cover all of Israel/Palestine, most of Jordan, large portions of Syria, southern Lebanon, Western Iraq, The Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, small parts of northern Saudi Arabia and a slice of southern Turkey.

So unless Trump has gone totally insane (?), I’d say he’s actually talking about Israel…
