A video shows intelligent tree-planting machines embedding saplings with precision and drones transporting seedlings across sand dunes.

The footage was shared by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian, who stressed that the drones and the robots help bolster “afforestation efficiency and tree survival rates” in northern China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

⁣Florida passes bill HB477 banning weather modification.

The bill bans "the injection, release, or dispersion, by any means, of a chemical, a chemical compound, a substance, or an apparatus into the atmosphere within the borders of this state for the express purpose of affecting the temperature, the weather, or the intensity of sunlight."

Deliberate attempts to influence weather patterns such as temperature changes, precipitation, or sunlight intensity would be outlawed.

Cloud seeding would be prohibited under this legislation.

Eliminates multiple provisions of Florida’s prior weather modification laws, which allowed for regulated activities like cloud seeding under state-issued licenses.

Violators face increased civil penalties, with fines up to $10,000 per offence (really not that big of a sum).

The bill must still pass the House and Senate, and then be signed by the governor to become law.

If signed into law, HB 477 takes effect on July 1, 2025.

⁣Former Republican state senator Ray Holmberg sentenced to 10 years in prison for traveling to Europe over a dozen times to rape young boys.

Holmberg previously pleaded guilty to traveling with the intent of engaging in illicit sexual activity.

Prosecutors say the once-powerful lawmaker traveled 14 times from 2011-2021 to Prague and Czech Republic to pay for sex with young boys.

Holmberg allegedly met up with the boys, who posed as masseuses, at brothels.

He allegedly would abuse his position in politics in exchange for sexual favors.

Holmberg brought a University of North Dakota student to the school's president’s suite for hockey games with the intention of engaging in sex.

He is also accused of posing as a teen boy in 2012 in an online circumcision chat room to get pictures of children, including a 16-year-old Canadian boy.

The boy later took his own life.

Holmberg served for 45 years in the North Dakota Senate and didn't resign until 2022.
