Elon Musk Just MADE A HUGE MISTAKE With Gen2 Starlinks!
The massive Gen2 satellites will require the Starship heavy-lift rocket to launch. Starlink, Elon Musk's rocket company SpaceX's satellite internet division, has developed a second generation of low-Earth orbit satellites. However, they are currently too large to launch. What will happen next? Let’s find out!

The Gen2 satellite is much larger than the more than 2,500 Starlink satellites that are currently orbiting 340 miles above the Earth's surface. The SpaceX CEO stated late last week on the YouTube show Everyday Astronaut that Gen2 satellites are 22 feet long and weigh 2,755 pounds.
In comparison, first-generation satellites weigh 573 pounds, or about one-fifth the weight of Gen2.
"A lot of people talk a lot about how many launches to orbit there are per year, but I think what really matters is what is the total useful payload to orbit per year," Musk said. "Because otherwise, you'd be comparing a dinghy to a supertanker if these were ocean ships."
SpaceX will need to prepare its Starship heavy-lift rocket to launch the much heavier Gen2 satellites into orbit. The Starship is the most powerful rocket ever constructed. It consists of two stages: a Super Heavy first-stage booster and a Starship upper-stage booster. The US Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an environmental review of the reusable Starship rocket and on Tuesday extended its self-imposed deadline by two weeks, implying that the final report will be released in mid-June.
SpaceX's progress on Gen2 demonstrates how far Starlink has progressed in comparison to its competitors. Amazon's Project Kuiper is still in the works. OneWeb, a satellite internet constellation owned in part by the UK government, has 428 satellites in orbit at a higher altitude of 750 miles. Telesat of Canada has 188 LEO satellites in orbit but is experiencing production delays.
Starlink has already brought high-speed internet to many rural communities that were previously inaccessible to broadband. With the assistance of the US government, Starlink has been able to provide internet access to 150,000 Ukrainians in the midst of a war.
Starlink service is becoming increasingly popular in various parts of the world. According to speed testing website Ookla, Starlink provided 100 Mbps speeds to 15 additional countries in the fourth quarter of last year. Counties that have not approved Starlink, such as Pakistan, are seeing requests for the service on Twitter.
According to Musk, Gen2 satellites are "almost an order of magnitude" more powerful than first-generation units. According to a SpaceX FCC filing, the newer Gen2 satellites will "complement the first-generation constellation" currently in orbit rather than replace it.
Some Chinese researchers are concerned about Starlink's rapid progress. Musk's satellite constellation poses such a national security risk that recommendations have been made to either disable or destroy SpaceX's satellites. According to Chinese researchers, Starlink could increase data transmission speeds by more than 100 times for US military drones and stealth fighter jets.
NASA has expressed concern about Starlink's proposed 42,000-satellite constellation, claiming that it will result in a "significant increase in the frequency of conjunction events and possible impacts to NASA's science and human spaceflight missions."

Elon Musk said artificial intelligence (AI) could lead to a third world war in a recent ominous prediction. The comment was made in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who predicted that the first global leader in AI will "rule the world." Meanwhile, SpaceX, which is pursuing the Starlink space program, is said to pose a threat to Russian security, according to Dmitry Rogozin, the Director of Roscosmos. The discussion took place in light of the government's provision of about 900 million dollars for SpaceX's Starlink program. Currently, the next budget will allocate approximately $20 billion in subsidies.
According to Rogozin, a question was asked about the program, if why do the Americans need it? Further, Rogozin explained that this kind of spacecraft could be used to control cruise missiles, recalibrate their flight tasks mid-flight, control special forces, or serve as an agent network. Tuesday was Election Day across numerous states, with outcomes foreshadowing what's in store in November's midterm elections, where the balance of power in the nation's congressional branch is likely to be reconfigured. There was also a seismic ruling by the Supreme Court that effectively reverses the long-standing protections of Roe v. Wade. Roe v. Wade was the landmark case that legalized abortion rights in the United States in 1973.
So, what exactly is going on with Elon?
From a flood to a trickle to nothing at all. According to Sources, Elon Musk sent out an average of 145 tweets and retweets per week, which works out to approximately 21 per day, in the five weeks leading up to June 16. It was on that day that an open letter penned by SpaceX employees and signed by all of them was distributed. The letter referred to Musk's tweets as "a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment." Some of the signatories of the letter were promptly fired, but Musk's tweeting also promptly slowed down and eventually stopped altogether after June 21.
However, at least one person has seen and spoken to Musk since the curtain dropped on his tweet show. Before June 21, Musk did not publicly share any indication that he would be taking a break from his favorite social media pulpit. Since that date, however, he has been seen and spoken to by at least one person.
According to Newsweek, a reporter named Johnna Crider who works for the website dedicated to reporting on renewable energy called Musk at the Tesla factory in Texas to conduct an interview.
According to a tweet posted by Crider, "many people are worried about @elonmusk since he's been offline for some time." "I saw him yesterday at Giga TX. It was very kind of him to spend some time talking with me, and I really appreciate it. His attention was on his work, but he is unharmed and in good health.
At best, Musk's Twitter history can be described as chaotic. This week, Musk's Twitter account became the sixth most followed on the platform, behind Barack Obama, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Cristiano Ronaldo. The site showed that Musk had 100.2 million followers on Wednesday. Musk's account passed the 100 million follower mark earlier this week (in that order.)
Musk's tweets may generate a flood of traffic, but his output has occasionally also come with a hefty price tag.

Elon Musk is still ‘missing’- fears soar as SpaceX CEO not seen for 10 days on Twitter
TEN DAYS since SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was last seen on Twitter, fans have begun raising concerns that he is missing.
The world’s richest man, and one of the prominent Twitter influencers, Mr Musk has been silent on the popular microblogging site in passing days. For the billionaire, who’s currently in the process of buying Twitter for $44billion (£36.4billion), this has been the longest period without tweeting in over ten months. On Tuesday, Mr Musk was showered with hundreds of birthday wishes online from fans and family members, but he replied to none.
Elon Jet, a popular automated Twitter account that tracks Tesla CEO’s private jet trips, revealed that his last flight was a week ago when he landed in Austin, Texas, where the Tesla Headquarters are located.
Aside from concerned fans, Mr Musk’s disappearance has also raised alarm bells among investors, who are actively speculating on what might be next for the billionaire.
Gary Black, a managing partner of The Future Fund, speculated in a tweet that Mr Musk is either trying to “wrap up” the Twitter deal or “doing a real-time test to show what happens to $TWTR engagement if he stops tweeting.”
Given that he is legally not allowed to tweet about his own company Tesla, without approval from a lawyer, this scenario could be realistic.
However, this hasn’t stopped fans from raising concerns on Twitter, with one user tweeting: “Are you alright Elon?
“I'm surprised and a bit worried about not seeing you on Twitter!
“Is everything fine? I am missing your off the wall humour…”
Meanwhile, one user suggested that Vladimir Putin may have something to do with it: “Elon musk has gone missing.
“It might be because of the Russians. I have no idea.”
In May, Mr Musk warned that he may "mysteriously die" after providing the people of Ukraine with internet access, following a Russian threat that the SpaceX CEO will be "held accountable".
After Russia invaded Ukraine, the entrepreneur provided more than 10,000 Starlink dish antennas, which have been deployed in settings from governmental buildings, hospitals and schools — to helping to control drones used to combat the invading Russian forces.
In May, Mr Musk tweeted: “If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowing you.”
This tweet came after he shared a statement from Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin, who warned of retaliation against Mr Musk.
In a statement, Mr Rogozin warned that for aiding Ukraine, “Elon, you will be held accountable like an adult — no matter how much you’ll play the fool.”
Some have suggested that Mr Musk may be on a binge drinking getaway for his birthday, although biographer Ashlee Vance has previously confirmed he is not a big drinker.
However, his silence could also be due to tensions in his personal life after his transgender daughter filed a request with the Los Angeles County Superior Court to change her name to reflect her new gender identity.
She also declared that she “no longer lives with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form”.

Tesla Gigafactory also enjoys similar privileges in the state of Texas. This state has been an ideal place for Musk and his company. Accordingly, Texas has no individual or corporate income tax. And in addition to the standard business benefits, local authorities also offered Tesla about $65 million in tax breaks and other incentives in 2020 for a new factory.
