Tesla is a sustainable energy and electric car firm run by billionaire Elon Musk. The Model 3 sedan, which was introduced in 2017 and has already sold more than 800,000 units, is the world's best-selling plug-in EV. Tesla is also the largest seller of plug-in electric vehicles. A significant achievement for Tesla, which was established in 2003 as Tesla Motors, was the sale of its one millionth vehicle in 2020.
