When it arrives on the market, the Tesla Model Pi is expected to be a game-changer, with analysts predicting that it would give other phone competitors a run for their money. Elon Musk is currently the richest person in the world, and with that comes a lot of things he can get himself. But one thing he can’t buy is the affection of his children. With recent news of his daughter, Vivian choosing to sever legal ties with her father by changing her name to match her mother’s maiden name, it begs the questions of why his kids don’t seem to want anything to do with him.
It could be because, they can’t get behind the unconventional names he’s chosen for his two youngest kids, which are a moutfhul to get around. It could also be the impact Elon’s divorce from Justine Wilson had on their kids, they share 5 of Elon’s living 7 kids. But ultimately, it’s not hard to ignore the impact Elon’s childhood may have on his relationship with his children. Elon’s kids are some of the few celeb kids who choose to stay out of the spotlight, at least for his oldest. Could be because of their strained relationship with their father, or just because he’s Elon Musk. Despite the strain, Elon seems to be trying to make up for some lost time with his youngest children, maybe in hopes they’ll be the ones to get in on the family business. Some of his choices may seem odd or insensitive, and it’s not hard to see how that could trickle down to the relationship he has with his children. For years, fossil fuel-producing states have watched investors shy away from companies causing the climate crisis. Texas is one of those states.
Texas legislators passed a law that said "if you don’t include fossil fuel companies in your portfolios, then you can’t do business in our state." The law bars Texas’ state retirement and investment funds from doing business with companies that the Texas state comptroller says are “boycotting” fossil fuels. The funds are worth approximately $330 billion, though it's not clear how much of them are invested in companies Texas plans to boycott. The law applies to new or existing contracts greater than $100,000.
