IT HAPPENED! Tesla JUST UNVEILED The Fastest Megacharger Ever!
Something quite interesting about the upcoming high-powered electric vehicle charging system has been revealed by recent images of the Tesla Semi's Megacharger units at PepsiCo's Modesto, California site. Even though they have a very streamlined appearance, Megachargers are almost startlingly large, and both their charging cables and charge handles look equally impressive.

The Megacharger may be a different kettle of fish than the Semi or vehicles in general, both of which have a tendency to take center stage over anything, including things that are only tangentially related to the vehicle in question. As Tesla prepares to launch its first class-8 vehicle, it may only be a matter of time before details of the Semi's Megachargers become more widespread.
And the massive Semi presents a significant obstacle for the automaker as it attempts to strike a balance between driving range, payload capacity, and fuel efficiency.
It is the responsibility of the Megacharger to ensure that the Tesla Semi has sufficient range both before and while it is on its trips. Several years ago, in 2019, patents for the Megacharger were released, and they hinted toward liquid-cooled charging connectors. These connectors would pave the way for a fast and efficient charging mechanism, which would provide the Semi with as much as 400 miles of range in just 30 minutes.
Because of its ability to dissipate heat, the liquid-cooled charging cable would be in a position to speed up the charging process for the Semi. The following aspects of the cooling system are covered in the patent:
"The charging connector is kept at a comfortable temperature by cooling fluid that circulates along the fluid flow path. During operation, the cooling fluid splits into two separate fluid streams: the first fluid stream flows around the first sleeve, and the second fluid stream flows around the second sleeve. Both of these fluid streams flow around the respective sleeves. Upstream of the outlet conduit, the first and second fluid streams converge into a single stream.
The first electrical socket is completely enclosed by the first sleeve, and the second electrical socket is completely enclosed by the second sleeve. Because the cooling sleeves are made of a material that is able to conduct heat, the heat that is produced by the electrical sockets can be removed by the cooling fluid.
The Megacharger has been spotted multiple times, but up-close looks have been limited in recent years for the following reasons:
1) Megachargers are not open to the public, so people cannot walk up to them and take pictures of them; and
2) Tesla has not yet delivered the Semi to any of its customers, and the company is still working on starting production.
the high-resolution photographs that show the Megacharger in detail, including the charging connector, the "sleeve," and the charger itself.
At first glance, it appears that there has been plenty of adjustments made since 2017. The Supercharger port that is found on any of Tesla's other vehicles is noticeably smaller than the charging port that is found on the Semi, which previously featured an 8-pin configuration.

Volkswagen Boss Urgent Message To Elon Musk: "You Just CLOSED The Gap!"
Volkswagen has been fighting Tesla tooth and claw for some time, but to what end? Does Volkswagen envision itself as a rival to Tesla?
Elon Musk and his electric-car firm may experience growing pains due to Tesla's new facilities, according to Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess.
Tesla and the Volkswagen Group are often regarded as electrification leaders, particularly in their home markets of the United States and Europe. However, Tesla remains the undisputed leader, with about double the all-electric sales volume of Volkswagen last year.
Hello everyone, and welcome back to "FUTURE TECH." In this video, we'll look at why the CEO of Volkswagen addressed an urgent message to the CEO of Tesla.
According to Reuters, Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess stated that the business is "earning more than ever" and increasing electric car manufacturing in its two most important markets, Germany and China.
All of this is projected to enable the German manufacturer to close the EV gap between Volkswagen and Tesla, putting it on course to become the global leader in EVs by 2025. At least, such is Diess's prediction, which predicts that Tesla's position would deteriorate.
Tesla's problems at the Giga Berlin-Brandenburg and Giga Austin plants, as well as the growth of Giga Shanghai, according to Herbert Diess, would sap Tesla's strength:
"Elon must simultaneously scale up to two extremely complicated plants in Austin and Gruenheide, as well as grow production in Shanghai," Diess said not long ago, according to Reuters. "That's going to sap his strength."
According to Reuters, the German CEO discussed the impact of supply-chain bottlenecks on Volkswagen's production objectives. According to Reuters, Diess stated that Tesla's supply-chain issues might open the way for Volkswagen to overtake the vehicle firm in the EV market.
Diess' fears about Tesla are similar to Musk's. In an interview with Tesla Owners Silicon Valley last week, Elon Musk warned that the carmaker's new plants in Texas and Berlin had turned into "gigantic money furnaces" that were losing billions of dollars.
Musk stated that the Shanghai lockdown was causing electric-car battery shortages and supply-chain problems, making it impossible to scale up production at the plants. They had only manufactured a "small" number of vehicles.
Soon, Tesla will establish plants in Austin, Texas, and Berlin, Germany. However, the company's main production plant is in Fremont, California.
Meanwhile, Diess stated at the conference not long ago that Volkswagen is increasing manufacturing in Germany and China as semiconductor chip shortages have begun to improve.
Volkswagen has expanded its presence in the electric vehicle market in recent years. Scott Keogh, CEO of Volkswagen's US office, told Insider's Tim Levin in April that he views electric cars as a means for the automaker to gain a larger share of the US market.
"To me, it's like an F1 race," Diess added. "This is your chance to start in the first two rows, as opposed to being in the 12th if we do anything with the internal combustion engine."
