After The Verge published on Twitter a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin about artificial intelligence on September 4, 2017, Putin said, “Whoever becomes the leader in this area will rule the world”. Now, is this Elon Musk’s terrifying warning to Russia? This is because Musk replied the same day with these two words, affirming his previous warnings, “It begins....” Musk then added in a subsequent tweet that for many years, Musk has warned about the dangers of AI-powered robots. Musk even predicted that artificial intelligence might cause a third world war in a recent ominous tweet. A recent ominous tweet from Musk also predicted a third world war may be in the works owing to artificial intelligence. “China, Russia, soon all countries w strong computer science. Competition for AI superiority at national level most likely cause of WW3 IMO,” Musk further tweeted.
