Prominent right-wing commentator Dan Bongino has been banned from YouTube, a spokesperson for the platform told Forbes, after violating the terms of an earlier suspension for spreading Covid disinformation. Bongino did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes, but he retweeted a post from his website, the Bongino Report, Wednesday afternoon saying "@YouTube communists desperately try to save face after we told them to go f%^* themselves." The tweet also claimed the video posted in violation of the suspension guidelines was called “Why I’m Leaving YouTube.”Bongino is one of the most powerful voices in conservative media. He is host of the radio show The Dan Bongino Show, which took over the time slot of the late Rush Limbaugh's show in many markets last year, and also hosts a Fox News show on Saturdays called Unfiltered with Dan Bongino. His Facebook page is one of the most popular news sources on the platform, regularly accounting for the most popular link posts, along with the pages of fellow right-wing commentator Ben Shapiro and conservative pastor Franklin Graham. Bongino has quickly risen to the top of conservative media after being hired as a Fox News contributor in 2019. Prior to becoming a commentator, Bongino served as a New York City police officer, Secret Service agent and made three unsuccessful runs for Congress. Right-wing pundit Dan Bongino appears to be taking a break from his radio show and is off the air for at least the rest of this week in the midst of a public feud over a Covid-19 mandate imposed by Cumulus Media, the radio giant that distributes his show, according to a Wednesday report. Bongino’s sudden and so far unexplained departure from the air follows a public clash over the Covid-19 vaccine mandate imposed by Cumulus Media CEO Mary Berner in September. Several of the company’s radio hosts have already quit or been fired over the rule, which was geared toward an October 11 return to the office. Bongino himself has been fully vaccinated on the advice of his doctors as he is battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma, his team said. However, the right-wing pundit says he believes vaccine mandates are “unethical” and “immoral.” He threatened to quit his job earlier this month if Cumulus Media didn’t shift on the mandate.“Cumulus is going to have to make a decision with me—if they want to continue this partnership or they don’t,” Bongino told listeners in a recent program. “It’s really unfortunate that people with a lower profile than me, who don’t have 300-plus stations, have been summarily either shown the door or been put in really untenable circumstances because they simply want to make a medical decision by themselves.”Bongino’s show with Westwood One debuted in May and is being distributed to more than 300 stations, according to the company. He holds the time slot previously occupied by the late Rush Limbaugh. Prior to securing this profile-raising opportunity, Bongino made a name for himself with years of punditry on shows like Fox News, the National Rifle Association’s now-defunct NRA TV and Alex Jones’ InfoWars. Elon Musk Just CONFIRMED The Rocket That Will Fly Gen2 Starlinks!

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, has revealed the first technical details about the company's next-generation Starlink 'Gen2' satellite design, confirming that it will outperform the current generation in almost every way. But, the current design is too big for the current rockets. And, Elon Musk just confirmed the rocket that will fly the Gen2 Starlinks. Let’s find out!

During an onsite interview and Starbase tour with YouTuber Tim Dodd (The Everyday Astronaut), Musk revealed – largely unprompted – that SpaceX has already developed at least one functional Starlink Gen2/V2.0 satellite prototype and shipped it to the South Texas Starship factory, where it is currently stored. More importantly, Musk revealed the first direct specifications for the next-generation spacecraft, stating that each Starlink V2.0 satellite will weigh approximately 1.25 tons (2750 lb), be approximately seven meters (23 ft) long, and be nearly an order of magnitude more capable than the "Starlink 1" satellites they will eventually replace.

Almost ten months after SpaceX first revealed its updated plans for a 30,000-satellite constellation, those details have confirmed a few key points of speculation about Starlink's future.

Back in August 2021, as most predicted, as with Falcon 9, SpaceX would try to optimize its new Starlink V2.0 satellite design to take full advantage of Starship's launch performance. In an updated Starlink Gen2 filing, the company conveniently revealed that a version of the constellation optimized for Starship would be structured so that the rocket could launch an entire orbital plane (one ring of satellites spaced evenly around the Earth) in one go.

All but 500 (1.5 percent) of the nearly 30,000 spacecraft in that constellation variant would be stationed in planes of 110 or 120 satellites, implying that SpaceX meant that every Starship would nominally carry 110-120 satellites. Using Musk's most optimistic Starship performance estimate of 150 tons to low Earth orbit (LEO), a Starship-optimized Starlink V2.0 satellite would almost certainly weigh up to 1250 kilograms.

Musk has now confirmed that each Starlink V2.0 satellite will weigh... "about one and a quarter ton," or 1250 kilograms. Starlink V1.0 and V1.5 satellites weigh around 260 and 310 kilograms, respectively, implying that Starlink V2.0 satellites will be slightly heavier than V1.5 and slightly lighter than V1.0.

Musk also revealed that V2.0 satellites will be "almost an order of magnitude more capable than Starlink 1," though he refused to call that capability bandwidth or throughput, the traditional way of describing a communication satellite's total performance. However, Starlink V1.0 satellites are thought to have a total bandwidth of 18 gigabits per second (18 Gbps).

As of now, it's unclear whether Starlink V1.5, a significant upgrade, added more bandwidth, or if Musk was referring to the most recent Starlink V1.x iteration. Even if he was comparing V2.0 to the first V1.0 satellites, each Starlink V2.0 satellite could add 140-160 Gbps to the 30,000-satellite constellation.

Finally, specific numbers aren't required to emphasize the significance of the information Musk provided. If true, Starlink V2.0 will pack roughly twice as much usable bandwidth into a given unit of satellite mass as V1.x.
