Maldives-style Overwater Bungalows could be coming to Lombok

⁣Maldives-style Overwater Bungalows could be coming to Lombok By Jakarta Newsdesk

LUX Property Group founder Jamie McIntyre is exploring overwater bungalows inspired by the Maldives and Tahiti for Nesara Bay City, Lombok.

Speaking from the Maldives, McIntyre also highlighted an opportunity for Indonesia: seaplanes connecting more of its beautiful islands. ✈🌊

Better connections could encourage visitors to explore Lombok, Sumbawa, Sumba and Flores—helping spread tourism spending and jobs beyond Bali.

The bungalow concept and potential seaplane access at Nesara Bay City remain subject to feasibility studies and approvals.

Could overwater stays and island-hopping flights be part of Indonesia’s next tourism chapter?
