Battery issues have been a major barrier to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, owing to the limited mileage range and the mining of rare earth minerals. A Tesla research team, on the other hand, is working on a battery design that could last a record-breaking 100 years. Could this be real? Let’s find out!

Tesla confirmed that nearly half of all vehicles manufactured in the previous quarter used cobalt-free iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries.
The information also provides an intriguing glimpse into Tesla's model mix, which is generally quite opaque.

Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, has stated numerous times in recent years that the company intends to transition more electric vehicles to LFP batteries in order to address nickel and cobalt supply concerns.

Iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which do not contain nickel or cobalt, are traditionally less expensive and safer, but they have a lower energy density, making electric vehicles less efficient and have a shorter range.

However, they have recently improved to the point where using cobalt-free batteries in lower-end and shorter-range vehicles make sense.
It also frees up the production of battery cells with other, more energy-dense chemistries, allowing for the production of more long-range vehicles.
Tesla has already switched to LFP cells in its Standard Range Model 3 and Model Y models manufactured in China.

Tesla also announced last year that it is "globally shifting to Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry" for "standard range vehicles."
It confirmed that Tesla intended to switch the Model 3 Standard Range, also known as the Model 3 Rear-Wheel-Drive, produced in Fremont to LFP cells as well.

Tesla confirmed that nearly half of all vehicles produced now use LFP batteries with the release of its Q1 2022 financial results:
“Diversification of battery chemistries is critical for long-term capacity growth, to better optimize our products for their various use cases and expand our supplier base.
This is why nearly half of Tesla vehicles produced in Q1 were equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, containing no nickel or cobalt. Currently, LFP batteries are used in most of our standard range vehicle products, as well as commercial energy storage applications. As a result of our energy efficient motors, a Model 3 with an LFP battery pack can still achieve a 267-mile EPA range.

This means that the Model 3 Rear-Wheel-Drive, the cheapest Tesla vehicle, and the Model Y Standard Range, which is only available in China, account for roughly half of Tesla's volume.

Drew Baglino, Tesla's SVP of engineering, was asked how quickly Tesla can switch to LFP chemistry:

“I’ll take the LFP question. Like it says so in our letter, but half of our products were LFP last quarter, which shows how quickly we were able to respond. But honestly, it wasn’t because of a raw material shortage. It just seemed like the right thing to do. We could change our cathode chemistry.

And there’s more to be done on the cathode side and we are actively pursuing it to give us substitution flexibility in response to market conditions between the other cathodes that are out there that can be competitive in our vehicle. There are many options.”

According to Musk, no space mission has ever gone beyond the surface. As such, it is the first opportunity to explore a mysterious region of Earth's natural satellite.

The "face" never seen from Earth differs significantly from the more familiar "near side." The far side has a thicker, older crust that is pocked with more craters. On the near side, there are also very few "maria" (dark basaltic "seas" formed by lava flows).

Fudan University researchers published a paper in the Journal of Deep Space Exploration on landing site selection in permanently shadowed regions (PSRs) on the moon, indicating that China's Chang'e-7 mission will attempt a highly accurate, fixed-point landing at a solar illuminated area, such as a crater rim near the lunar south pole, Musk stated.

The landing site will also be near a PSR, which can then be searched and sampled for water and other volatiles.

Because of their latitude and elevation, PSRs receive no sunlight. PSRs have temperatures around –230 degrees Celsius, making them potential traps for volatiles such as water ice, but also methane, carbon dioxide, ammonia, and other gases.

Water ice converted into drinking water or electrolyzed to produce rocket propellant could help support human explorers on the moon.

The Chang'e-7 mission, which is expected to launch in 2024 or 2025, will consist of multiple spacecraft, including an orbiter, relay satellite, lander, rover, and "mini flying detector." A major mission objective is to search for water ice in a permanently shadowed region (PSR), Musk explained.

The Chang'e-7 mini flying detector will conduct the PSR search. A primary candidate design appears to be HexaMRL, a six-legged movable repetitive lander developed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The craft would be able to perform multiple takeoffs and landings while moving around on its six legs and sampling the lunar regolith.

The authors of the landing site paper combine optical images with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data acquired by NASA's Lunar

Reconnaissance Orbiter and use high-resolution digital elevation modeling to try to find flat areas within the craters Shackleton and Shoemaker for landing and regolith sampling by the mini flying detector, Musk stated.

Insights gained from this process are then used to learn how the Chang'e-7 orbiter's Polarization Synthetic Aperture Radar (Pol-SAR) can be used to evaluate the topography and roughness of the lunar surface in order to select landing and sampling sites.

The microwave imaging radar would allow for high-resolution imaging of a shadowed area where optical observations are impossible.
If the mission confirms the presence of stored, accessible resources, it could have significant implications for lunar exploration.

"PSRs are essential because they currently contain the biggest potential reservoirs of water and volatiles on the moon, but we don't know much about the reserve potential," Clive Neal, a lunar scientist at the University of Notre Dame, told the report.

Recently, Elon Musk exposed Kamala Harris, the first Asian -American to become vice president; after less than a year in the post, she is a shady and historically unpopular vice president.
Carlo's statement was an accusation when the Biden-Harris administration proposed spending $4 billion to address the 'root causes of migration' in Central America. Under the impact of climate change, droughts of varying severity are affecting nearly 64% of the continental United States. With $4 billion, the Harris Administration can ultimately partially use it to address this climate change problem. Part of that solution is to promote investment and development of the electric vehicle industry. Thus, the government can solve the climate problem for the whole US and electric vehicle companies, especially Tesla.
Elon Musk's outspokenness in denouncing the Harris administration will put Tesla at a disadvantage in its electric vehicle investment and production. According to the plan, Elon Musk will open a new manufacturing plant with an area of about 5 million square feet in the US. Kamala Harris is likely to devise policies that hinder Tesla's investment and development on a large scale. In addition, tax policies for Tesla cars will increase when Tesla is not in the UAW. The law would require higher annual EV fees, which would significantly hinder the distribution of Tesla vehicles to consumers. In particular, the conflict between Elon Musk and the Harris administration was pre-existing. Perhaps this will be one of the reasons Harris has to deal with Tesla. Moreover, the government is very supportive of GM, Ford, and electric car companies joining the UAW, so these will be the objects for Harris to pay more attention to and invest them. That will make Tesla have more formidable opponents, and the world leader in the electric vehicle industry will no longer be.

There it is—tall, majestic, and from the pages of a science fiction novel.
Despite having been ridiculed since the very beginning of the idea, Musk and his team are now proving step by step how shallow the previous judgments were.

Launch towers for rockets are nothing new but SpaceX's Mechazilla is the exception!
In December 2020, Musk claimed that the firm planned to use the launch tower’s arms to catch the Super Heavy booster as it returns to Earth.
As soon as the idea was made, it received a multitude of mixed reviews.
For Elon Musk fans, they're excited about the advancements. They are looking forward to witnessing a new initiative, breaking old rules, opening a new path like in a sci-fi movie.
Some Musk fans even have already created animations of their interpretations of how it might work.
However, where there may be praise for the innovation, there comes an equal amount of skepticism.
They laugh at Elon Musk. They say Musk is crazy, this idea is really bad and useless!
Many bitter words were uttered!
However, perhaps they have forgotten that Elon Musk is the one who has the ability to make the impossible possible.
He completely changed the electric car industry, and he can do the same with the space industry!
Musk and his team spent much effort on designing and building a massive "launch and catch" tower at the South Texas site.
Standing more than 150 meters tall, it supports the fully stacked rocket during fueling and launch operations. Then, minutes after launch, it will catch the first-stage booster with massive "chopsticks" as the rocket slows down near the ground.
The entire process of design and construction just took about 13 months.

Inefficient operations, high debt, and struggling physical storefronts are some of the challenges many businesses confront today. The Covid-19 outbreak exacerbated these problems and hastened the demise of several shops struggling with declining sales and mounting debt due to shifting consumer tastes in the prior years.

And, of course, Tesla is not immune to this.
Recently, Elon Musk has had to deal with layoffs, lawsuits, and, according to the world's richest man, worries about going bankrupt.

In a statement to CNN on June 23, Elon Musk stated the electric vehicle manufacturer risks billions of dollars in losses due to its new plants, supply chain issues, and covid lockdowns.

According to CNN, which cites an interview with a Tesla owners group filmed last month and recently posted, "The past two years have been an absolute nightmare with supply chain delays, one thing after the other." "It's not over yet. Our first issue is how to keep the factories running so that we can pay our workers and avoid bankruptcy."

'Massive Money Furnaces'
Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed in a video interview with Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley that the company's plants in Berlin and Austin are "giant money furnaces" at the moment.

Tesla's operations in the days leading up to Musk's decision to reduce expenses by laying off the staff are revealed in these statements, which were part of a larger discussion filmed on May 31.

Elon Musk told Bloomberg News Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait that layoffs would touch around 10% of the company's paid staff over the next three months. This is about 3.5 percent of the company's global workforce.

While all was going on, Credit Suisse analyst Dan Levy cut his price objective for Tesla to $1,000 from $1,125 on June 24 while maintaining an outperform rating for the stock.

Levy anticipates Tesla to deliver 242,000 vehicles in the second quarter. This is lower than the 280,000 expected by the sell-side and is primarily due to the Shanghai covid-19 shutdown. On the other hand, the analyst estimated a $1.10 per share for the second quarter. This price below the consensus of $2.08, was cut due to lower deliveries, margin impact, and a projected bitcoin impairment.

Tesla's long-term fundamentals are intact, and the increasing supply limitations will likely expand its advantage over rival carmakers in the race to electric vehicles.

During all this bad news, it's understandable that Tesla CEO Elon Musk would want more people to know that the company has topped the Cars.com 2022 American-Made Index.

All Tesla production facilities were affected.
Shanghai's power outages were "very, extremely difficult." According to him, it will require "a lot of attention" to fix these problems. Because it began with the 2170 batteries, the Berlin plant has seen an increase in output.

However, both Texas and Berlin have had a difficult time increasing production. Musk's statements come as the corporation is cutting 10% of its workforce. Additionally, the corporation has decided to put a temporary halt on all new hires across the globe.

He said this has been a nightmare of supply chain disruptions that hasn't ended for the past two years. 2,000 people will be laid off during the next three months.

The Shanghai factory will close for two weeks.
This also affects production at the company's Fremont, California plant. Many of the components utilized in the manufacturing process are sourced from China. The factory will be shut down for two weeks in July to prepare for increased production in China. According to Reuters, the factories will then receive modifications to help increase output.
