Lawyers for #ElonMusk expressed their anger in a brief six-paragraph letter to Twitter on Monday. The lawyers stated that #Twitter was "actively fighting and undermining" Mr. Musk's rights while he was completing a $44 billion bid to buy the social media provider. They said that the firm was "refusing Mr. Musk's data requests" to reveal the amount of bogus accounts on its network. According to the lawyers, this amounted to a "clear significant breach" of the agreement, allowing Mr. Musk the authority to terminate it.

Mr. Musk's effort to halt the blockbuster acquisition was boosted by the letter, which was sent to Twitter and filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It raised questions about whether Mr. Musk would finish the transaction, despite the fact that he waived his right to conduct due diligence on Twitter when he purchased it. The letter also hinted at a protracted legal battle if one or both parties brought the matter to #court.
