Tesla (TSLA) has quickly become the global automotive sector's benchmark. Legacy automakers, such as General Motors (GM), Ford (F), Volkswagen (VWAGY), and Mercedes-Benz (DDAIF), place themselves in relation to Tesla.

Rivian Automotive, Inc. (RIVN) is an example of an upstart Lucid Group (LCID), Inc. Fisker (FSR) wants to be compared to Elon Musk's EV juggernaut.

The electric-vehicle manufacturer has transformed the car into a living room on four wheels using the most recent technological innovations. (Apple can also claim to have a technology ecosystem in the form of phones and computer equipment.)

The T brand has its own niche among consumers. Owners of Tesla vehicles are members of an exclusive club. Fans adore the brand, which currently sells four models: the Model S and Model 3 sedans, as well as the Model X and Model Y SUVs.

However, Tesla's fame extends far beyond the automotive industry. Companies that want to be innovative and disruptive are watching Tesla's actions.

In 2023, the futuristic Cybertruck, Tesla Semi, and new Roadster will go into production.

It's difficult to categorize Tesla, especially since Musk, the architect of this extraordinary success story, prefers to remain private.

Those who consider Tesla to be merely a vehicle manufacturer are frequently reminded that the company's market capitalization, which recently surpassed $1 trillion, tells a different story.

Tesla sells far fewer vehicles per year than Toyota (TM), General Motors, Volkswagen, or Ford. In 2021, the Austin company sold fewer than one million vehicles, compared to millions for legacy automakers.

The billionaire's technological efforts are frequently associated with Apple. He mocks its products, however, and wonders what the iPhone manufacturer invented that was revolutionary.

As Tesla shareholders and analysts wonder whether Musk will devote much of his energy to developing Tesla while acquiring Twitter for $44 billion, Musk just sent them a message that should reassure them.
Aside from the fact that he hopes not to have to use his Tesla shares as collateral to finance the takeover, the serial entrepreneur has just named the company that he likely regards as the final impediment to Tesla's initial mission.

That company is Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company.
According to the billionaire, "Tesla has the potential to be the most valuable company ever."

"You know the future will be good for Earth when Tesla's market cap, making sustainable energy products, exceeds that of Aramco, producing fossil fuels," Musk wrote on Twitter on May 25. He was responding to a message in which he warned investors about the possibility of a recession, which would affect the stock price.

Elon Musk Just MADE A HUGE MISTAKE With Gen2 Starlinks!

The massive Gen2 satellites will require the Starship heavy-lift rocket to launch. Starlink, Elon Musk's rocket company SpaceX's satellite internet division, has developed a second generation of low-Earth orbit satellites. However, they are currently too large to launch. The Gen2 satellite is much larger than the more than 2,500 Starlink satellites that are currently orbiting 340 miles above the Earth's surface. The SpaceX CEO stated late last week on the YouTube show Everyday Astronaut that Gen2 satellites are 22 feet long and weigh 2,755 pounds.

In comparison, first-generation satellites weigh 573 pounds, or about one-fifth the weight of Gen2.
"A lot of people talk a lot about how many launches to orbit there are per year, but I think what really matters is what is the total useful payload to orbit per year," Musk said. "Because otherwise, you'd be comparing a dinghy to a supertanker if these were ocean ships."

SpaceX will need to prepare its Starship heavy-lift rocket to launch the much heavier Gen2 satellites into orbit. The Starship is the most powerful rocket ever constructed. It consists of two stages: a Super Heavy first-stage booster and a Starship upper-stage booster. The US Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an environmental review of the reusable Starship rocket and on Tuesday extended its self-imposed deadline by two weeks, implying that the final report will be released in mid-June.

SpaceX's progress on Gen2 demonstrates how far Starlink has progressed in comparison to its competitors. Amazon's Project Kuiper is still in the works. OneWeb, a satellite internet constellation owned in part by the UK government, has 428 satellites in orbit at a higher altitude of 750 miles. Telesat of Canada has 188 LEO satellites in orbit but is experiencing production delays.

Starlink has already brought high-speed internet to many rural communities that were previously inaccessible to broadband. With the assistance of the US government, Starlink has been able to provide internet access to 150,000 Ukrainians in the midst of a war.

Starlink service is becoming increasingly popular in various parts of the world. According to speed testing website Ookla, Starlink provided 100 Mbps speeds to 15 additional countries in the fourth quarter of last year. Counties that have not approved Starlink, such as Pakistan, are seeing requests for the service on Twitter.

According to Musk, Gen2 satellites are "almost an order of magnitude" more powerful than first-generation units. According to a SpaceX FCC filing, the newer Gen2 satellites will "complement the first-generation constellation" currently in orbit rather than replace it.

Some Chinese researchers are concerned about Starlink's rapid progress. Musk's satellite constellation poses such a national security risk that recommendations have been made to either disable or destroy SpaceX's satellites. According to Chinese researchers, Starlink could increase data transmission speeds by more than 100 times for US military drones and stealth fighter jets.

NASA has expressed concern about Starlink's proposed 42,000-satellite constellation, claiming that it will result in a "significant increase in the frequency of conjunction events and possible impacts to NASA's science and human spaceflight missions."

As reported by a report that is even more interesting, Tesla CEO Elon Musk discussed plans with his employees on a daily basis about the launch of a $5,000 electric car without a steering wheel as a part of their duties.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Tesla will manufacture an autonomous $5,000 car. He believes Tesla's new battery cells and battery manufacturing efforts will allow it to reach this competitive price point, which could result in a decrease in battery costs of over 50%. Several reports indicate that the $5,000 Tesla electric car, also known as the "Tesla Model 2," will be produced at the Gigafactory Shanghai in China and exported internationally. Additionally, Tesla announced last year that it would open a new R&D center in China to develop an electric vehicle in the Chinese style.
