स्पेस-एक्स के संस्थापक और टेस्ला के सीईओ एलन मस्क दुनिया के सबसे अमीर व्यक्ति बन गये हैं. उनकी कुल संपत्ति 185 बिलियन डॉलर (1 खरब 85 अरब डॉलर) को पार कर गई है. बीते गुरुवार को मस्क की कंपनी ने शेयर की क़ीमतों में बड़ा उछाल देखा, जिसके बाद कुल संपत्ति के मामले में वे पहले पायदान पर पहुँच गये. ये जगह मस्क ने ऑनलाइन शॉपिंग प्लेटफ़ॉर्म 'अमेज़न' के संस्थापक जेफ़ बेज़ोस को पीछे छोड़कर हासिल की है. जेफ़ बेज़ोस साल 2017 से इस स्थान पर थे. मस्क की इलेक्ट्रिक कार कंपनी टेस्ला ने इस साल अपनी मार्केट वैल्यू में काफ़ी वृद्धि की है. बुधवार को यह पहली बार 700 बिलियन डॉलर तक पहुँच गई जो कार कंपनी टोयोटा, फ़ॉक्सवैगन, ह्युंदै, जीएम और फ़ोर्ड की कुल मार्केट वैल्यू से भी अधिक है.
